A Roadmap Back to Weddings

It’s safe to say the government’s announcement on a route out of lockdown and the easing of restrictions was very welcome, not least because it creates the conditions for more certainty around booking your wedding flowers and enjoying the day itself!

It’s fantastic to have some positivity on the way! It seems that summer weddings will be able to go ahead as couples originally planned. Whilst this is not such great news for spring and early summer weddings, I think couples who are booked for then will already have been looking to change their dates. I do feel better knowing the plans though and having some dates for lockdown easing to work with.

Buttonholes, roses, and suppliers

I’ve missed making buttonholes, looking through Dutch webshops for the best blush pink rose to match the bridesmaid dresses and wondering if the peony season will last long enough this year! As we have all been shut away for so long, missing our nearest and dearest, I think the trend for weddings will be all about the party! Long trestle tables, sharing platters, live bands and lots of dancing! With the vaccine and responsible behaviour, we can do this! And your flowers will, of course, complete the look and feel of your special day.

Our Beautiful Region

Whether the sun has joined us or not, recent lockdowns and tiers have led us to do lots of walking through the gorgeous countryside in this part of the world. It’s such a shame that the venues I work with haven’t been able to open or can’t operate to their full potential. Reflecting on the locations I deliver to and install wedding flowers has solidified my opinion that we have some of the best wedding venues in the country.

Whether your wedding flowers are inspired by personal preference or designed to complement the venue you hold it in, it’s a pleasure to get to know each couple and work together on each wedding project. I’m really looking forward to linking up with familiar faces at the Tithe Barn in Ditcham, Upwaltham Barns, Bury Manor Barn, Southend Barns, Duncton Mill, Goodwood House and the Goodwood Hotel, amongst many others.

A busy time ahead

It has felt a bit like being in a thick fog looking for a little glimmer of light, and I’m sure this is the case in many other industries too. So the future is going to be busy, and I am pleased about that.
